DENMARK
On March 29, 2025, Nyt Europa participated in and hosted two events at the Youth Climate Conference ‘United in Differences’. The Youth Climate Conference took place at The Youth Island outside Copenhagen. At the Youth Climate Conference, the Youth Ambassadors from the Youth For a Just Transition International Seminar, participated and hosted active Climate Action Events. The Youth Ambassadors from the transnational event in 2025, led the efforts to plan the events, also hosted the events at the Youth Climate Conference with the support from Nyt Europa.
Participants
There were approximately 35 participants per event, and the participants came from 6 different countries. The participants had different backgrounds, such as activists from green youth groups, biology students, people working with indigenous peoples’ rights, and youth who wanted to expand their network and learn what can be done.

Agenda:
The events were two-fold as there was both presentations, but also exercises, training, experience-sharing, and active participation. The goal of the events were to showcase and
highlight how different groups, people, organisations, and activists take an active role in the political world. Both events focused on climate justice, theory of change, and how we can use experience and knowledge learned from each other to better the world. As we had participants from 6 different countries, who all had very different knowledge levels, participation experience, and wishes for the output, we modified the events as they were taking place. This meant, that we focused more on providing knowledge of how to take action, and sharing of knowledge in break-out groups as this was the wish of the youth participants. In the break-out groups the participants could actively demonstrate and . This also meant that the participants experienced the democratic process of voicing their opinions and being heard. All in all, this fostered a great room for mutual sharing, learning and being active.
Key-takeaways
One of the key takeaways from the events was the power there is in coming together across borders and learning from each other. When the Youth stand together, they can have a great impact. The Youth especially gave the feedback that they learned that there are many ways to take action and being an activist, and that it can span from e.g. planning a campaign, writing an opinion letter, marching in a demonstration, to going on a hunger strike. The participants learned, that simply participating can be a key element of taking action, and that participation
does not have to be perfect. The participant also gained an understanding of
Out-put
Through these events, a big transnational group was created. The participants all joined a group chat in which they can keep up with each other, and hopefully bonds have been created, strengthening their transnational community and network.
Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or [name of the granting authority]. participate in activistic events, increased awareness on the struggles faced in different countries, and practical knowledge
